@BCDreyer If you look at the dialogues of Gregory the great there is an ancient precedent for this. Though Marley wouldn’t be redeemed in the robust sense, this would really be more him working out his own issues by helping Scrooge. If he’s in purgatory, then he’s already redeemed.
